Peter Fowler

Pete Fowler was born in Cardiff, 1969 and has developed a unique style of art, design and illustration which has won him the support of those in the know here in the U.K, Japan and around the world. His World of Monsterism vinyl figures have been proved hugely popular since they were first released with Sony Creative Products in Japan in 2001. Since then Pete has formed his own company, Playbeast, to produce his own toys. Over the years Pete has exhibited his art in the UK, Europe, US and Japan. More recently he has exhibited at Artoyz Gallery in Paris and at Rough Trade East in London. Pete has designed record sleeves and promotional videos for Super Furry Animals, The Magic Numbers and Acid Mothers Temple. ‘The Sound of Monsterism Island Vol 1’ was compiled by Pete, released by Heavenly Records, and received extremely well by the critics. An animated series based on Monsterism Island is in the early stages of production in conjunction with Baby Cow in London and will draw from Pete’s world of Monsterism and his love of psychedelic music.

I have chosen to show the above work of Peter Fowler as this one caught my eye the most. It is very unusual, but I liked that and also like his style.
